Graduating senior Alejandro Oñate has received the College of Letters & Science Dean’s Prize, one of the College’s highest academic honors. Oñate recently completed his undergraduate degrees in biochemistry and music, and he received a certificate in the biology core curriculum (Biocore). He is also a Mercile J. Lee Scholar. While making plans to earn an MD-PhD degree and become a physician scientist, Oñate continues to research immune therapies to combat cancer in the lab of Zachary Morris in the Carbone Cancer Center.
