The Hector F. DeLuca Biochemical Sciences Complex consists of the Hector F. DeLuca Biochemistry Building (420 Henry Mall), the Hector F. DeLuca Biochemical Sciences Building (440 Henry Mall), and the Hector F. DeLuca Biochemistry Laboratories (433 Babcock Dr.). The buildings are connected via skywalk allowing easy movement between the various facilities.  With new construction in 1998 — of the Biochemistry Laboratories — and in 2012 — the Biochemical Sciences Building — along with a 2012 major renovation and integration of the other buildings in the complex, the department has the most modern, capable, and safe facilities available. More information about the land on which the Department of Biochemistry buildings are built can be found here.

With over 120,000 square feet of departmental space in the complex, the Department of Biochemistry has access to a wide array of conference rooms, lab space, offices, reading rooms, and other research and teaching facilities within the complex. There is also a small cafe located in the Hector F. DeLuca Biochemical Sciences Building and floor-to-ceiling murals painted by John Steuart Curry [Virtual Tour] in the Hector F. DeLuca Biochemistry Building.
