Yefim (Fima) Zaltsman received his B.S. Chem. degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Michigan in 2011. He is now a graduate student in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. In the Kiessling group, he is working in the "stem cell lounge" where he uses biomaterials to study the role of mechanical signals on influencing human pluripotent stem cell fate decisions. Outside of lab, Fima enjoys biking around Madison, doing yoga, eating good food, and going to shows.
