Alex earned his B.S. in Biological Chemistry at Tulane University in 2013. Realizing his winters in New Orleans were not nearly brutal enough, he chose to attend graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Now, he is a graduate student in the Integrated Program in Biochemistry (IPiB) working in the Kiessling lab. Supported by the Biotechnology Training Program (BTP), Alex’s current research focuses on investigating the length dependence of the galactan chain in the mycobacterial cell wall. In his free time, Alex enjoys playing tennis and watching the Packers.
