Murshid received his MS (2008) and BSc (2007) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He then started his research career at the Immunology Unit of International Center for Diarrheal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b) studying the memory B-cell responses to cholera and ETEC infection. He was also selected as a Fogarty International Center fellow for training in the joint Harvard-Massachusetts General Hospital/icddr,b training program in 2010. Currently, he is an IPiB graduate student in the Kiessling research group at the University of Wisconsin–Madison where his research focuses on studying antigen recognition by B-cell and subsequent signaling events upon exposure to synthetic antigens.
