See-Yeun Ting

See-Yeun graduated from National Yang-Ming University in Taiwan in 2009 with a BS in Life Sciences. While at NYMU he worked as a project student in the laboratory of Ming-Yi Chung (Lab of Human Molecular Genetics). He applied genetic approaches to study the regulation on human heme oxygenase 1 promoter. After graduation, he worked as a research assistant in the lab of Soo-Chen Cheng at the Institute of Molecular Biology in Academia Sinica in Taiwan, where he focused on mRNA splicing mechanism by biochemical approaches.

In August 2011, See-Yeun headed to UW-Madison to begin his PhD program in IPiB. He joined the Craig Lab in December of 2011 and is currently studying the architecture of the mitochondrial protein import machinery, TIM23/motor complex.
