Does the Biochem Department use the new GlobalProtect client?

No, not at this time. Departmental VPN still uses the Cisco Anyconnect client. The GlobalProtect Client can not be configured to access Biochem resources at this time.

How do I remotely connect my computer to the Biochemistry Network?

Use the UW Departmental VPN (Description) with the instructions available below. The Biochemistry UW Departmental VPN connection is configured to protect network traffic to any UW IP Address. It will NOT encrypt or protect data sent to other services (Google, Facebook, etc.) and should still allow using devices on your local network while connected.

Note: The following settings will be the same for all clients once your client is installed and configured.  If you don't see the Connect to field listed below enter dept-ra-cssc.vpn.wisc.edu and click Connect.
