There are a variety of information technology and computing resources available to the Biochemistry Department. The Biochemistry IT Group installs and maintains the department specific resources.
The IT Group also co-manages the 21st Century Network, VPN, Firewalls, Antivirus and Software Update Management with UW DoIT. Additionally, the DoIT Help Desk is a resource available to all UW-Madison users. DoIT is the primary contact for UW provided services, hardware repair and offers support during hours the Biochemistry IT Group isn't staffed.

The IT Group also provides support for departmental computer equipment, assistance with personal devices used to complete departmental work, hardware and software support, etc. For general questions or help with the network, email, software or printing, please see the General Questions section.
If you are experiencing issues with a computing resource and are unable to find the information you need on the IT portion of the Intranet, please open a ticket using the Biochemistry Job Board.
IT staff or student employees are typically available from 7:30 AM to 4:45 PM, Monday - Friday. Our hours are somewhat flexible based on IT needs, student schedules, etc. You can see more about the Biochemistry IT Group staff on the Our Staff page.
