Routing a Cayuse Proposal
The final step for submitting your proposal is routing to the next reviewer. When you route the record, you are providing an electronic signature.
Login to Cayuse.
Choose the corresponding Cayuse record related to your proposal.
Click on the”Routing & Approval” button at the top right section of the page.
Click on the square checkbox next to your name, and then click “Approve” in the pop up text box. You should see a black check mark next to your name. An email is automatically generated to you and the next reviewer in the chain.
If you cannot click the checkbox next to your name, the proposal is probably locked by you or someone else. You will need to first break the lock by clicking on it and take the lock:
Now you will be able to check the box next to your name. Once you check the box next to your name, you will no longer be able to make changes to the Cayuse forms. You no longer have control of the proposal because your checkbox will be gray and you will not be able to change anything within the proposal. It will look something like this:
The next person in your Routing Chain now has control of the proposal.
The last person in your Chain will always be RSP, however CALS has delegated authority to submit proposals.
