Dr. Katie Henzler-Wildman and Dr. Judith Simcox will guide trainees through the process of giving a Chalk Talk, focusing on the structure and content that should be included in a good Chalk Talk.
Tuesday, February 22 from 11:00am-12noon in Biochemistry Labs 175. Pizza lunch from Glass Nickel will be provided!
If you would like to attend the event, please sign up here. Please respond to this poll by Friday, February 18 so that we may adequately plan the pizza order.
Details: This event will be geared towards graduate students and post-docs looking towards the job market. Chalk Talks are a part of many job interviews and are also a great way to organize your thoughts and distill your data/project down to its most crucial elements. They also demonstrate your ability to think on your feet and react to real-time feedback.
