SFLC Careers in Industry Seminar

On April 19th, SFLC will be hosting Dr. Dan Felitsky from Jounce Therapeutic s (alumnus of Tom Record’s Lab) for a 
2-part Careers in  Industry Professional Development Event
Dr. Felitsky is currently a Senior Scientist for Jounce Therapeutics,a large biotech company specializing in cancer immuno therapies based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Formerly of GlaxoSmithKline, Dr. Felitsky will be able to speak to his experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in companies of varying sizes.

All graduate students and post-docs are welcome to attend. 

In the first, open part of this event, Dr. Felitsky will be taking questions in a roundtable format. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the Industry/R&D career path, gain useful information about the job acquisition process, and ask relevant questions about careers in R&D.  In the second part of this event, Dr. Felitsky will meet one-on-one with graduate and postdoctoral students who are interested and/or actively pursuing careers in Industry/R&D. He has graciously offered to listen to interview talks, review CVs or cover letters, and answer more personalized questions relating to careers in R&D. These meetings will be by appointment only and will last 10-15 minutes. If you are interested in one of these slots, please indicate so on the registration form below. These meetings are first-come, first-serve. 

The event will be on Thursday, April 19th, 2018 in Room 175 of the H.F . DeLuca Biochemistry Laboratories (433 Babcock Drive)
The public Q&A will be from 1:00 to 2:00, and the one-on-one meetings will be from 2:00 to 3:00 in the same room.
