Catalysts for Science Policy is excited to announce our upcoming Workshop: Preparing for Science Policy Careers. Dr. Yaihara Fortis, Science Alliance Director from the New York Academy of Science will be leading this interactive event where you will learn all about science policy careers and how to prepare to enter this field.

The 2-part workshop will last 2.5 hours, including a dinner and networking with the speaker!

4:00 - 5:00 PM - Part I: Exploring Science Policy Careers

Discussion of the types of jobs in science policy, science policy fellowships, career opportunities for international students and post-docs and what skills are needed to suceed in this field.

5:00 - 5:45 PM - Pizza and networking

5:45 - 6:30 PM - Part II: Preparing for a Science Policy Career

How to apply for science policy fellowships, how to prepare your resume and cover letter for policy positions and identifying professional development opportunities to enhance your chances at landing a job in science policy.
