BIOCHEMISTRY

All UW-Madison faculty and staff are invited to the annual UW Employee Appreciation Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, May 5, beginning at 1 p.m. in Birge Hall.

Administrators, deans and directors will be serving up free ice cream until 2:30 p.m., or until supplies run out, whichever comes first. Many flavors will be on hand, including Vanilla, Chocolate, Badger Blast, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Orange Custard Chocolate chip. In addition to ice cream, sherbet and custard, there will also be dairy-free items available upon request.

The event is meant as a gesture of thanks for all the hard work and dedication of faculty and staff during the academic year, and is a great chance to celebrate the close of another academic year, and sample a little bit of summer. Bucky Badger and members of the marching band will be part of the festivities.

Work units are encouraged to be flexible with employees to allow them to come to Bascom Hill, or are encouraged to host celebrations in their own locations especially for those units located off campus.
